LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Psychotherapy for Adults

New Growth

About Me

Hello, and welcome. My name is Dr. Emily Pavlisin and I am a Bay Area based licensed clinical psychologist. I am currently serving adults throughout the state of California via telehealth.

Finding the right therapist for you can feel overwhelming, especially because this journey often begins at a time when we are feeling most vulnerable. Maybe you are experiencing depression, anxiety, or the loss of a loved one. Perhaps you could use support navigating a scary life transition, or understanding why you keep finding yourself repeating the same unhealthy relationship patterns. Maybe your inner critic is getting in the way of being able to live a fulfilling life, or perhaps you are just feeling stuck. Whatever brought you to this page today, know that you are already taking a brave step.

What makes therapy successful? The key ingredient for successful treatment is the therapy relationship itself. In our work together, I will collaborate with you to foster a relationship built on trust, compassion, and emotional safety. My approach is warm, empowering, and evidence-based.

We will work together to help equip you with meaningful insight and practical tools for growth. I believe that true and lasting change occurs when we treat the whole person, so we will not only focus on reducing your distress, but we will also explore the impacts of biological, social, family, and cultural factors on your mental health. My goal is to guide you to a place where you feel more present with and connected to the things in your life that you care most about.

I am passionate about providing culturally responsive care to adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health concerns, life transitions, and relational issues.

I encourage you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to get a sense of how I work and start to determine if we will be a good fit.

Thank you for reaching out!
